Perry III, co-founders.  Editor, Dernell Every. Advisor, Warren A. Dow.  Associate Editors Donald F. Barnes, Miguel A. de Capriles, Burroughs Mitchell.  Founded l935- the first issue was presented at the NYFC on December l9, l935...it had 3 pages and no cover...it was mimeographed poorly and was stapled in one corner.  January of  l937 saw the Riposte's first cover. In 1940 the magazine had the following costto purchase:  trial subscription….$1.  For 6 issues  $2. For 12 issues  It ended during WWII.
